Beautiful mountain cabin home for retreat, family time or romance, surrounded by nature. Wake up to fresh mountain air and the birds singing. Gaze at the stars at night . The cabin is located approximately 12 miles from Weaverville on Highway 299 and about 57 miles from Redding. The area provides great fishing in the Trinity River, Trinity Lake and Lewiston Lake. The Trinity Alps are a popular rugged hiking area, with many lakes and waterfalls.

There are lots of power outrages in the area. A Generac generator is in place. You will not be stuck without electricity.

Summary: House is in a centralized location for Trinity Forest activities. Good access to the Trinity river. There is a nice little store in Junction City with essential items. Closest market is in Weaverville, CA. House is well furnished.

Summary: The house itself was nice, but a few concerns or points to ponder. When we arrived, the house house was partially clean. The kitchen counters, island, bathroom counters, showers were clean. We then noticed big cobwebs in every room, the tables in the living room and bedrooms were dusty and filled with personal items, and when I opened the lid of the master bath toilet, the water was covered in a black sludge. After flushing, there was still a big black ring in the toilet. It looks like it got a light cleaning in a few areas and the rest of the house had not been cleaned for some time. Paradoxically, there were bottles of cleaner sitting out in several rooms. Overall, the lack of cleaning really turned us off. There is a nice gas BBQ on the deck, but no gas or maybe it did not work? Mark did say we could bring charcoal. I got the impression that maybe the house was not rented much with all the personal stuff left about. I have rented 4 houses in the area, and this is the first time I have seen one in a condition like this. In my review, I gave cleanliness 2 stars, accuracy 4 stars because it was clean in the pictures but not in our experience, otherwise, 5 stars. The good news is the fishing in the area was probably the best in 5 years.

Summary: Beautiful area. Cabin was just as described. Mark worked with us throughout our visit as we needed to make several changes to our visit due to illness. Highly recommend.

Summary: My friend and I we all like this cabinet. The bedroom is really nice and a huge living room + dining room to hang out. The owner knows this area pretty well and provides a lot of useful information on how to spend the weekend in Trinty.

Summary: Very comfortable and family friendly. Lots of open space and windows. Very private, well-stocked in terms of towels, kitchen basics, etc. Owner very friendly and responsive. Excellent for relaxing. Nearby Weaverville is fun to explore--lots of history. We felt very sorry for the devastation of the fires in the area, but found the neighbors and the community amazingly resilient. Definitely recommend for a relaxing family getaway.

Summary: We’ve stayed in several homes in Trinity Co. through vacation rental service and this one suites a family well. The kitchen was equipped and stocked with spices etc. The room and bedding arrangement was good for the kiddos. It was in the burned region of the fires and a little outside clean up would have been nice so the kids could do their exploring without playing in soot and charcoal. But the river was a short walk away and always offers an adeventure.
